![]() ![]() Should your order contain multiple products with varying lead times then delivery would be anticipated to be completed to you in line with the longest lead time. Disgraceful !!!!!!!!!!!! We will never book with Acorn again and our advise to everyone is to avoid these cheapskates who can't even cover reception duties. The delivery lead time for each product is shown in Green and White at the top of the page. We have travelled all over the world but this is the first and only place where we have had to wait outside the reception building in freezing cold conditions, windy weather and rain for up to 30 minutes. He was very helpful and went through the checking in process clearly and quickly. He was very apologetic explaining he had to cover reception duties as well as his security duties which meant patrolling a number of buildings which could take up to 40 minutes. Disgusting behaviour!!!! At around 10.00pm a security guard came and let us into the building. We were absolutely fuming and very angry by now since our daughter was very cold and even coughing now and the security guard had to bare with most of our anger and frustration. They gave us an emergency number to ring which we did, only to get an abrupt reply from the person on the other end who answered saying this was not an emergency and there was a security guard some where there who would come and deal with us and then hung up on us. A few students from a neighbouring building came to pick up some post also pressed the buzzer. We kept pressing the buzzer to the building but to no avail. It was freezing cold, raining and very windy as you would expect the weather to be in December. not very welcoming is the least you can say, on top of being false advertising.…Īrrived with my husband and 2 year old daughter from a long flight from Thailand to the Acorn reception building at 9.30pm only to find the reception building door was closed. You have to buy everything, bin bags, oil, salt, toilet paper. Also, you get one toilet roll per bathroom per stay. Quite roomy flat for 10 people, considering the central location. The heating and hot water broke down again two days later. The flat was freezing when we arrived, even though as it is the end of December you would think they would double check the heating was working before 10 guest would arrive. We did not have heating or hot water on the first night. We got desperate as no one wanted to talk to us on the phone outside office hours unless it was en emergency (we checked in on a saturday so.), so we just bought glasses and oven dishes out of our own pocket. Not even enough glasses for 10 people, no pans, 2 tiny over dishes, and only 3 tinys pots to cook. Cheap and worn out furniture, mold, very badly stained mattresses, lock on every bedroom door. ![]() This flat for 10 is a flatshare/student accommodation turned into a flat, and it shows. We saw pictures of modern looking rooms on when we chose the flat, and none of them actually are of this flat. The flat looks NOTHING like the pictures shown online. ![]() Please note there are no lifts in these buildings. Further benefits include entry phone system and CCTV at entrance. Some flats have private laundry facilities whilst others have access to a laundry room within the building. The apartments are located within easy access to both Holborn and Russell Square tube stations. Group travel can also be well accommodated here.
